Windrose Hospital’s journey started with the humanitarian efforts of FOAG-UK in Uganda that not only resulted into the medical healing of Sofia Aujo physical walking impairment, but transformed her life into a fully empowered nurse and public health professional. Building on the values of this humanitarian act, Windrose Hospital is like a give-back to the community, a consideration of others that might be going through what Sofia was going through then or even worse.

Founding Vision

To create opportunities through which children with congenital, developmental and acquired conditions can be identified early, assessed appropriately, referred when necessary and supported to access treatment, rehabilitation and continuing care.

To provide high-quality, compassionate, and affordable healthcare to Ugandans, mostly children by combining comprehensive clinical excellence with community-powered outreach, strategic partnerships, and sustainable innovation.

Windrose Hospital Management

Windrose Hospital has an established institutional management structure responsible for the overall administration, clinical governance and operational oversight of the facility.

The governance structure includes:
