From Beneficiary to Champion
Dr. Sofia Aujo, the visionary behind Windrose Hospital, experienced firsthand the difference that humanitarian healthcare and opportunity can make.
As a child living with a physical walking impairment, she benefited from corrective treatment facilitated through FOAG-UK in Uganda, followed by support that contributed to her early education and subsequent development. Her journey eventually led her to become a registered nurse, public health professional and advocate for children living with disabilities.
Her experience created a powerful conviction: the opportunity that changed one child’s life should be made available to other children whenever possible.
Windrose Hospital is part of that vision.

Through the Care Beyond Self Fund, donations can help support:
- Children requiring assessment, treatment, referral or rehabilitation.
- Medical and surgical outreach programmes and camps.
- Children living with congenital, developmental or acquired conditions.

- Essential medicines and medical supplies for vulnerable patients.

This work may include supporting children affected by conditions such as clubfoot, hydrocephalus, genu valgum, genu varum, acquired contractures, post-traumatic deformities and other musculoskeletal or developmental conditions requiring specialist care.
